When it comes to finding good advice now a days I often find myself looking to resources that are found on the internet. You know what I mean and I am sure that we are all pretty much guilty of doing the same thing. Hey I need some relationship advice or I am looking for some financial advice and one of the first things that so many of us do as an immediate response to our need to find advice for our issues as quickly as possible is to look for the answers on the internet.
How often when you are in need of some advice on an issue do you go to your computer get on the internet and Google for an answer or a solution to your problem? I can admit that I am guilty of this for goodness sakes look at the search button on my site here! That expression just Google it has been etched on the psyche of this generation and the internet has turned in to the Dear Abby repository of our time.
Just the fact that I have an advice Tweet bar widget on the side of my site that is mining the Twitter site for any and all people offering up their own advice is evidence as to how prevalent going to the internet for advice is.
Now I am not saying all this to shine a negative light on getting our advice online. I do however feel that when we do go online to get our advice that whatever your resource the advice that you do take should be taken a certain measure of extra caution. As the odds are that you do not personally know the resource that the advice in question is coming from and it may not be the wisest bits of information to follow considering every-one’s situation is unique. Along with the fact that with the anonymity of being on the internet everyone seems to have an opinion with some advice to share on everything.
