FREE ADVICE: Help available for veterans

Please not only for this area but for veterans all over our country. Find your local help line and help our veterans today.

Free help and advice will be available Sept. 13 for York County veterans and their families. Joel Levenduski, operations specialist from the Governor’s Veterans Outreach and Assistance Center in Harrisburg, will visit the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory in Hanover, 51 Clearview Road, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Levenduski, an Army veteran, will answer questions about federal and state veterans’ benefits and provide information about and referral to agencies that can help veterans and their families. Those seeking information should bring their DD Form 214 (Discharge Document) or other proof of service. Veterans needing information or assistance at times other than scheduled visits can call the Harrisburg center, toll-free in Pennsylvania, at (800) 932-0930.
